Hi I'm Beryl

I like to read, sew and knit and I am a Mormon

About Me

I joined the Church in 1994 when I was 58 years old. I like to read, sew and knit. I also enjoy Local History and Criminology. I am a Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, I love my family very much. When I was young I was a track athlete for Essex Ladies, I ran on the track that is now the Olympic Stadium in London. I also danced both Ballroom and Tap.

Why I am a Mormon

One of the reasons I joined the Church was because it taught eternal principles. My son was killed when he was six and knowing that I will see him again after this life has brought me great comfort and peace. I know that God lives, I know that he is our Father in Heaven and we are His children.I know that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Redeemer. I know we have a living Prophet on the earth today who leads and guides us through revelation from our Heavenly Father. I know that prayers are heard and answered and miracles are performed. I know we do not have to face our trials alone "I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up. Doctrine and Covenants 84:88" I know as we have faith and trust in the Lord and keep His commandments we can be reunited with our family and friends after this life.

How I live my faith

I feel it is important to lead by example, to treat others how you would like to be treated. I love to help those around me. I am actively involved in my ward as the Historian, Librarian and Wedding Registrar. As I have limited mobility I write to sisters who cannot get out as much as they would like. I also love to work with the Missionaries and have them teach in our home.
