Hi I'm Jacob Gonzales

I am a huge BYU sports fan. I love drawing and painting, spending time with my family, and playing tennis. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jacob. I just finished my FIRST YEAR at Brigham Young University. What am I studying?? Your guess is as good as mine. I'm hoping to get some inspiration while I'm on my two year LDS mission in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm SO EXCITED to go serve the people in Pennsylvania. Admittedly, I'm pretty scared too. Can you blame me?? I've NEVER been on the East Coast. I don't know if I'm ready for the freezing cold winters... or the blazing hot, humid summers. Yay me. In my free time, I enjoy drawing and making watercolor paintings, although I'm far from being a professional. I'm also pretty into sports; football, basketball, and tennis being my favorites. OH MY GOODNESS I'm like the biggest Roger Federer fan there is. I hope I can meet him someday, although tickets to tennis matches are SO EXPENSIVE. I'm also the biggest BYU football and basketball fan. During my first year as a Cougar, I went to practically all of the home games, and they were honestly the best part of the year.

Why I am a Mormon

Despite what goes on in my life, I can always look to The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints for guidance and support. Not only do I know that the gospel is true, but the church has provided a way for me to develop relationships with people that I would've otherwise never been able to meet.

How I live my faith

I'd like to think that by going on a two year mission, I'm demonstrating my great love and faith in Jesus Christ. When He suffered for our sins, He gave us the greatest gift we'll ever receive: An opportunity to return to our Father's presence. I'll never be able to fully repay Him, but the least I can do is sacrifice a little bit of my time to serve His children.
