Hi I'm Robin

I grew up in California. I joined the Mormon church when I was 19 years old. I'm glad I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married with 3 children. 2 of the children are twins. (One boy and one girl) My husband is a Chiropractor and a Nutritionist, I work in his office. I like to read and spend time with my family. When I have time, I like to research my Family History.

Why I am a Mormon

Religion was not important to me before I joined the Mormon Church. I was sad very often about the difficulties in life and I didn't have anything lasting to look forward to. (except my family) I chose to join the Mormon church when I was 19 because I had caring friends who introduced me to the church and I respected them and their families and wanted the faith and hope they had in their lives. I looked into the church for about 2 years, but didn't feel like I should join. Then, one of the friends who introduced me to the church decided to go to Brigham Young University and asked if I wanted to go with her. I said yes (Looking back, I'm not sure why I did that, but the spirit was directing me to go there I just didn't know it at the time). I looked into the church again and this time the lessons the missionaries taught me about the church had a different feel to them, I felt very strong inside that what they were telling me was true. They asked me to pray about being baptized into the Mormon Church, I did so and I felt prompted to join. I have been a member of the Mormon Church for over 25 years and I have never regretted my decision. Being a member of this church has given me a strong anchor and a hope for a happy life. This hope has gotten me through difficult and frustrating times. I rely on Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father's love for me to help me understand that I am worth something and I can go to them in prayer to help me with anything.

How I live my faith

I love to serve other people, I do this in my children's schools, in my church congregation and in my neighborhood. The way I serve in my church is by helping the women in our congregation and their families grow closer to Jesus Christ.

What is the Relief Society?

Robin
Relief Society, to me, is having many good friends around you to help you in many aspects of your life. You can go to any women in the Relief Society organization and share struggles, share joys, get ideas on raising kids, get help with babysitting, enjoy a treat with "just the girls", strengthen your spirituality, serve other women and much more. This organization is the same all over the world. We hear stories from across the globe and we feel the same tender feelings as members of the church feel far away. Heavenly Father created this society for us, women, because he loves us and wants us to be happy. Show more Show less
