Hi I'm Ryan Lamoreaux

I live in N Las Vegas. I plan on attending BYUI after serving a two year mission. I love this gospel and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I will be attending BYU-I in January 2018 after serving a two year mission in New Zealand and I will major in Computer Science. I am a geek. I love computers and video games but I also love sports, including: basketball, baseball, volleyball, and football. I am also a cyclist. The longest I ever rode a bike was 500 miles from Salk Lake to Las Vegas. Right now my favorite hobbies are rock climbing and playing Halo. I am an Eagle Scout. I love to sing and have been in Zions Youth Symphany and Orchestra for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

Yes I have grown up in a Mormon family and my parents have taught me to be a Mormon my whole life, but there comes a time in everyone's life that we must chose for ourselves. When I was a young teenager I prayed for myself if the Book of Mormon was true and received an undeniable answer that it is. That everything taught in this gospel is true. This church brings me so much joy in my life. Through it I can have all my questions about life answered, and most importantly I can become closer to/ have a personal relationship with God and his son Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because this is the only true church that is directed by God and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Right now I am called as the family history youth consultant in my ward meaning I help the youth learn how to do their family history work. Once a week I try to make a trip to the temple to preform ordinances. I go to institute class every Wednesday night. Every day I wake up and read scriptures and I pray constantly throughout my day. I go to church for three hours every Sunday and try to attend all church related activities/meeting throughout the week.
