Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a Missionary. I'm a family member. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently taking a break from my studies to eventually become a Social Worker by serving a mission! I got my call to serve in the Canada Vancouver Mission and I couldn't be more excited. I work with children in many different places, right now as a staff member for the boys and girls club and as a nanny. I'm the oldest of 6 kids and so they've always been a huge part of my life. I'm a daughter to two wonderful parents. We're learning how to continue to be a united family even if I'm 20 and I live far from home.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a Mormon. So some people might think that's the only reason I am one... because others told me that's what I needed to be, because that's just how my parents raised me. But that's not it. As I was growing up, people always said little kids didn't have their own testimonies, they relied on their parents to know what to do. So I assumed that was the case for me. However, one day when I was about 11, I had to write out my testimony, what I believed in as a Mormon. To my surprise, I had no problem writing down what I, Michelle, really did believe. And I knew! I just knew that I had my own testimony. So I showed my dad and said, Look, I've got a testimony! And he looked surprised and said, Of course you do! You always have. I'm a Mormon because I know it's the only way to be happy. I'm a Mormon because I've felt the confirmation of the doctrines I have learned. I am a Mormon because I have testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. And I feel privileged to share it with the people of British Columbia! Especially at this time when the Lord is Hastening His work. This work of salvation is incredible and personal. But right now, God really is becoming a bigger part of people's lives and I am here to help them find their Saviour and to come closer to Him. What a blessing!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being who I am, everyday, everywhere. I wear modest clothing and I keep my language and humor appropriate. I laugh a lot and enjoy living. I pray. I pray to a God who listens. Who listens and guides me. I currently am completely dedicating my life to share the happy message of the restored gospel with others for 18 months. I am living in British Columbia and talking to everyone I meet! I let them know that they have a Father in Heaven who really cares and I'm finding those that God has prepared for this message.
