Hi I'm Kendra

I love to laugh. I am addicted to country swing dancing. I love Utah State University. I enjoy making others happy. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very happy person and I love making others happy. I used to be a cheerleader in high school but now my favorite thing to do is country swing dancing. I love summer. I love going boating. I am the oldest of 4 and I love spending time with my family. They are my everything! I am now a full time missionary in the Minnesota Minneapolis mission. Before that, I went to Utah State University for 2 years where I was studying Family Consumer Human Development. I love helping others. I love the opportunity to help others recognize that they can change their lives into something better. Ultimately, I want to be a stay at home mom. I am happy that my major will be able to help myself and others no matter what I do.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed with the opportunity to grow up in this church. Ever since I was little, I have been learning about the gospel. Everything I have learn strengthens my testimony even more. I know that this is the true church. I am so grateful for the knowledge and understanding that I have. I can't imagine living life without the gospel and the clarity it brings. The gospel gives me peace and hope, something we all need throughout life. There will come a time in our lives where each one of us will have to face something we never expected, something we never thought we could handle. In reality we can, the gospel makes the difference. The gospel gives us hope. It doesn't mean we won't have bad things happen to us. It just means that when they do, we will know how to handle it. It gives us an eternal perspective. We can know how to make weak things strong. I know that as I continue to build my foundation our Savior, no matter what comes my way, I will not fall!

How I live my faith

Faith is to hope for things which are not seen, which are true. I know, without a doubt, that this is the true church. I am able to show this is by example, by standing up for what I believe and by acting on my faith. My testimony has grown so much while I have been on my mission. I have come to realize that it doesn't matter where you serve, whether you are called to be a missionary or whether you are a member missionary, but it matters how you serve. Each one of us will experience hard things. Everyday we are placed in the path of others. We, at some point, are going to have to stand up for our beliefts. As a missionary, I have experienced it a little more then others typically would. I talk to people everyday who question my beliefs, the very thing that I am here to talk about, they doubt. If I am asked a hard question, I am expected to answer. There is no backing out. I have felt, that in those moments of pressure, I was able to replace my fears with faith. Faith in my Savior faith in what I believe and faith that the message I am called to share it true! I know that this is the true church. That Jesus Christ is our loving Savior, that without him we have no hope. The gospel gives me the happiness and the confidence that I need to be an example. "Increase your faith. Proclaim your faith. Let your faith show." -Elder Nelson
