Hi I'm Susan Miller Ferrin

I have a great family of 6 children, 5 step-children, 41 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Being a wife and a mother is wonderful. Being a grandmother is the best thing in the world. My husband is my best friend and I have enjoyed growing old with him and I look forward to sharing each and every day with him. We enjoy travel, movies, golf and tennis. I attended and graduated from college in my 40's and I enjoy music, art, reading, crossword puzzles, and being outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I can't deny being touched by personal revelation concerning the restoration of the Gospel. Truths I learned in my youth have been expanded ten fold. I know that God lives, and that Jesus Christ is His son and my Savior; and that they have restored to this earth in these latter days Their church with Prophets and Apostles at it's head. My soul is lifted every time I read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I am grateful for the knowledge that we have temples that allow us to partake of saving ordinances for ourselves and for those who have gone before us. I love that there is a plan for each of us - the Plan of Salvation - which when followed, will allow us once again to live eternally with God, the Father, and his son Jesus Christ. I know that living the Gospel will not take away suffering, but that it will make it bearable. That living the Gospel will simplify our lives and bring us the most joy. I experience this every day.

How I live my faith

I was raised to believe in Jesus Christ. My earliest memories are listening to my mom read Bible stories to me and my siblings before bedtime. I attended the Congregational Church and belonged to the choir and participated in youth activities. I joined the Church after listening to the missionary discussions. The Spirit was a huge testifier of the truths I had been taught. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. It is by far my favorite book. Church has offered me opportunities to teach and serve in various women, young adult and youth organizations. I also taught early morning religious classes to High School youth and directed several church choirs over the years. I have been a volunteer in the community with organizations such as Caring Corp and People Who Care - providing transportation to those who cannot drive themselves to various appointments.
