Hi I'm Kasja Kolste

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a "tom boy" with five older brothers. I love to go fishing or play sports. I grew up playing soccer and swimming on swim team. When I got into high school I discovered a love for Lacrosse. I played three years and my third year was the captain of the team. When I am stressed and need a break from my busy life, I play the piano or go for a run. I graduated high school as a high honor student. My favorite subject has always been math, especially calculus. I am now in college pursuing a major in engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family where both my parents were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They raised me to love reading the Book of Mormon and going to church. It wasn't until I was 14 when I truly got a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for myself. I read the Book of Mormon by myself along with reading the New Testament. I grew to love my Savior with every fiber of my being and the Atonement. I know that Jesus Christ lives and wants us to live the best we can to return back to Him and our Heavenly Father. In the bible God gave the people prophets to give them the guidance they need to return to Him. In this day and age He has restored the wonderful blessing of having a living prophet who receives revelation from God. Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and did truly see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as a young 14 year old boy. I absolutely love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The joy the gospel brings me is a witness to its truth.

How I live my faith

From the ages 13 to 18, I helped serve on a youth court. The focus was to help the youth in my area who had been struggling with the law to change their lives around. I helped plan activities where young single adults could meet and interact to better get know each other. I have also helped the young woman of my area become better friends by planning activities every week for them to come and enjoy each others presence.
