Hi I'm Kaylee

I love being a missionary! I love Texas! I love being Mormon.

About Me

I love dance, and music. Hiking, and camping are some of my favorite past times. Having fun, and hanging out with my family and friends is always at the top of my list.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for so many reasons. But the major reason is because I have a testimony of the Restored Gospel. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ in the first vision. I know that that authority that priesthood authority that was given to the original 12 apostles, has been restored to the earth, after many decades of it being lost to a living Prophet. I know that we today have a living modern day prophet. Who receives revelation for each and everyone of us, and the church as a whole. I know that this gospel blesses families, and It is the only church on the earth with the priesthood authority straight from Jesus Christ, that makes it possible that we can be sealed to our families for the eternities. I know that this life is a time for men to prepare to meet God, and the Satan is going to try everything to keep people from learning about the gospel, and our Savior. I know that Our Savior took upon the sins of the world, the afflictions, and pains for each of us. You, and me. I know that He died upon the cross in Calvary, and I'm so grateful for his sacrifice. But I also know, and can testify that He lived again. That He does live, today. I am so grateful for all of the many blessings that I have because of this gospel, and the knowledge that I have to know of truthfulness of these things. I do not expect you to take my word for it. I know, and can promise you, as you read the Book of Mormon, and Pray to know the truth. You will receive your answer.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission, in Houston, Texas. I love Texas so much! The people here are amazing, and I have learned so much from them. I love to share the gospel, and know without a doubt in my mind that our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ love each and everyone of us. I know this because I get to feel a little bit of that love, serving the people I get to meet everyday!

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Kaylee
We must be baptized through the proper Priesthood Authority. Imagine you're driving down the freeway and your going 15 miles over the speed limit. And here comes the Ice Cream Man, with his lights flashing, and his music playing. He's trying to pull you over for speeding, Are you going to pull over for him? No! But let say the state trooper sees you, and turns his lights on. You're going to pull over right? Yes, Why? Because he has that authority to pull you over, and give you a ticket for speeding. It's the same way with baptism it has to be done by the proper authority, or else it doesn't count. Not to discredit any baptism preformed outside of our church, because It's a great example of how you showed faith, and were trying to follow the Savior. But like it says in Acts 2:38, and Acts 22:16 We need to be baptized by someone who has God's Priesthood Authority. Which I believe, and know is only in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Show more Show less
