Hi I'm Joel

I have lived in Sweden all my life. Soon I'm going to serve a mission in England. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a calm, but also happy, guy. I finished the Swedish equivalent of senior high school a few years back, where my line of education was physics, biology, chemistry and math. I'm planning to educate myself further in the future. I have been working a little bit with demonstrating food in grocery stores. In my spare time I like to read books, spend time with good friends, play computer games and watch movies or TV-shows. I also play floorball, which is a bit similar to ice-hockey, but you don't play on ice.

Why I am a Mormon

I've always been a Mormon, as I grew up with my parents who also are Mormons. I am really so grateful that I've had my faith my whole life. It has helped me so much to have a faith in God. I believe he can help with anything in my life, and I can always come to him for comfort when I'm troubled. Even though I don't recieve answers in words, I feel that he listens to me, and wants to help me. I know praying and reading the scriptures help me very much. Every day I read and pray I feel that I become much stronger in my faith, and I can have the Spirit's guidance. I believe in Jesus Christ, and I believe I can be forgiven of my sins because of Him. I've personally felt the joy that comes from repentance, and asking for forgiveness for my mistakes. In my own opinion, one of the best things about our faith is that my life has great meaning, and I have a purpose. And no matter what happens in this life, as long as I do my best to follow God, I'll be happy for all eternity.

How I live my faith

In my ward I've been teaching the youth on sundays. That was a great experience for me, as I grow stronger in my faith when I try to teach. I've also been teaching some in other classes, with people around my own age. The last year I have also been in charge of organizing sport events for our ward, so we've been trying to get together at least once a week to play some sports.
