Hi I'm Quentin Von Bailey

I'm a soccer player, I have the coolest family, I'm way way humble, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have played soccer since the age of 4, and I love the game almost more than anything. I have 4 siblings, an older brother and sister, and a younger brother and sister. I am currently serving in the Columbia, South Carolina mission, speaking Spanish and I love it!

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God is constantly aware of us, all of us. He knows how we feel, what our needs are, and He loves us more than we can understand- faults and all. I love Him and I know that this church, this organization, and everything that comes with it, are some of the many great things that He has given us to reach our full potential on this Earth, and in the eternities. I know that as I continue to live this religion, I will continue to progress toward the person that God wants me to be. I know that by living what He has given us shows our love and gratitude toward Him and His son Jesus Christ. I found out the church was true the first time that I read the Book of Mormon. I started because a friend of mine, during a talk he gave in church at his farewell, promised the congregation that if we read the Book of Mormon, we would be blessed. I didn't believe in the church at the time even though I grew up in it, but I thought it a good idea to try out his promise and read the Book of Mormon. I never was very good at reading scriptures and I knew that if I tried to read too much at one time I would have eventually just given up, so I started small. I read 10 verses every night, and I didn't miss a night. Towards the end of the book, I was starting to read more and more every night. After 1 1/2 years I was about to finish. One night, I was terrified. I was scared almost more than I ever had been before. I remembered that I hadn't read my scriptures that night, so I opened them up. I was in Moroni 8. When I read verse 16 "...for perfect love casteth out all fear." the entirety of the fear I had was replaced with more love than I have ever felt in my entire life. I thought immediately to my older brother, Holden, who, at that time, was serving a mission for the church in Iowa. I know that no book that is not from God can possibly make me feel the love that I felt that night. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and therefore, the church as well.

How I live my faith

I simply try to say hi to everyone that I know, and many people that I don't. I try to make everyone feel welcome while they are around me, because I know that that is one of the best feelings in the world. I attend church every week and I study my scriptures every day. I try my best to live my life with love, for that is what I have based my testimony off of, love. I try my best to be more like Jesus Christ everyday. He is our perfect example.
