Hi I'm Mitch

I have grown up my whole life in Utah. I love playing sports and being with my friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love doing anything that involves playing games or playing sports. I ran cross country at my high school every year that I was there. I love running and even just being active. I even get up early in the morning to go play basketball with some guys in my neighborhood. I just enjoy being active and being with my friends and family. I just finished my first year of college and I am almost ready to get my Associate's Degree. College has been hard, but I have learned a lot being away from home and living on my own.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both members of the LDS church, and I was raised my whole life being taught by them. I followed their counsel and I have attended church my whole life. However, this did not mean that I was converted. I know that just going to church is not enough. I know that even reading the scriptures alone is not enough. Both of these things are necessary to learn and progress, but I know that we will not receive all the blessings of being a member of this church until we let these things change our hearts. I know that for me, this happened when I studied the scriptures and truly prayed about them, and I tested it for myself. If the scriptures show me how a people found happiness in doing what is right and what they have been taught, how can I know for myself unless I do not also do what they have done? I have experienced that change within my heart, and I still have so much to learn and so much growing to do, but I know that this church is God's church here on the Earth. It has been restored by the prophet Joseph Smith and he also translated the Book of Mormon by revelation from our Father in Heaven. I testify that you do not have to take my word for it, or anyone else's word for it. You can know for yourself. Study it by reading the scriptures and praying about them. Live by the precepts found within its pages. I know that if you do this and you are lovingly seeking the truth, that you will feel a noticeable change in your life. I am by no means anywhere close to being perfect, and I make mistakes, but I have felt the difference in my life when I am choosing follow and when I am not. I know that my life has been much happier because I have chosen to live this gospel. No matter how hard life gets, I am always happier going through hard times while I am living the gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in my ward. I have served in many callings for my ward, and I do my best in whatever I am asked to do. I have been assigned to lock up the church building after everyone leaves, and I have been in charge of organizing home teaching. No matter how great or small the calling may seem, they are all of equal importance. It only matters that we obediently do the best that we are asked to do. We all have special ways to contribute and I have seen the blessings from every calling as I have done my best to fulfill that calling.
