Hi I'm Nick

I grew up in southern Alberta Canada. I am on a mission in Manchester England . I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Nick. I am currently serving a two year mission in Manchester England for the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. I have a few interests and hobbies. One is playing and watching sports. Having 5 brothers who play many sports like hockey, baseball, and volleyball means that I watch many sport matches myself. I love having the opportunity to watch my brothers sports games, it is a lot of fun. I myself love to play football (soccer) and volleyball. I also love to watch proffesional hockey in wich my favorite team is the Calgary Flames. I am the oldest in a family of 8 kids. 6 boys and 2 girls. I love being part of a big family becuase it definetly keeps life interesting. I love my family, and am very happy to know I will be with them forever. Another interest I have is to study the ever changing weather. My favorite weather to study is the stormy wether, if it be a thunderstorm or snowstorm it realy interests me. When I get home from my two year mission I will go to school to become a meteorologist. I always like a good snowy or rainy day, witch I hear happens often here in England.

Why I am a Mormon

It started when my parents joined the church when I was 2 years old. That allowed me to pretty well have the gospel my whole life. My parents were a great example to me and they always taught me high morals and values. As I was taught the gospel my faith began to grow, and I desired to live by what I knew to be true so when I was eight years old I was baptised. That ment I could be made clean and be perfected through my savior Jesus Christ. I am not yet at all perfect but through Jesus Christ and his sacrifice he made for me I can be made clean and perfected. Knowing this has given me the strength and hope I need to keep pressing forward. Life can be hard but I promise you if you learn about Christ's life and become close to him you will have hope and joy. I would like to know state a few things that I know to be true. I know that this church is gods fully restored and true church on the earth today. I know that Joseph Smith did see and speak with God and his son Jesus Christ. I know that through Joseph Smith the full gospel of Christ was restored to us in these latter days. I know that the book Joseph Smith translated, which is called the Book Of Mormon, is true. I know that the New Testament, the Old Testament, and all other scripture are true. I know that there is life after death. I know that if we follow Christ's words and use his atoning sacrifice we can live with God again some day. I am so great full for the joy this gospel gives me. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith by giving two years of my life to Christ. For two years I will be devoting all my time to teaching people about the gospel of Christ. I will try to bring the hope and joy that the gospel brings to the people and there families. I will help share the joy I have becuase of the knowledge that I have gained that I can live forever with all my family again after this life. I am so excited to spread the hope that the gospel of Jesus Christ gives me to the people of England.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is great. It allows me to have answers to life's questions which can lead to me having a clearer picture of the purpose of living life. As I understand life and why I am living which it gives me great joy. In the church we are taught many things that can help us find better joy in life. We are not forced to live what we are taught. We chose to live the principles we are taught. I have found that as I have lived the things that I have learned from the scriptures and church I have been much happier than when I haven't done so. I know that being a Mormon has made my life much better than if I wasn't a Mormon. It has set me free. It has given me purpose to life. It has also allowed me to know what I need to do to be happy. The final and greatest thing that being a Mormon has done for me has been the knowledge that I can be with my family forever. This has given me the most joy as the result of being a Mormon.
