Hi I'm Stuart Kirkham

I'm going to school at BYU-H, i'm a world traveler, i'm serving a mission in Rancho Cucamonga California and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

"Life is a beach, and i'm just playing in the sand." - Lil Wayne I live by this motto- i'm going through life- looking for the joys and the good things and enjoying every minute of it. I grew up living in a family that's lived all over the world, including South Korea, Germany, and Guam. While living in those places, I've visited lots of different countries and met tons of nice people and experienced different civilizations. After my mission I will be attending school at BYU-Hawaii with a major in Biology: Pre-Med. I love music- my favorite artist would have to depend on what Genre i'm listening to. I believe that if you truly love music you would like more than one genre. My favorite artists would have to be Phish for classic rock / Jam Bands, Pendulum/ Bassnectar for Techno/house/electronic, and Drake for Rap. I've always wanted to surf. I love going to concerts. In High School i played Men's Volleyball, did Soccer, and was a captain on the Cross Country team.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because i know that this is God's Church once again established on the earth. I didn't always have a testimony of this church, despite growing up in it. I wasn't the most active member, and rarely read my scriptures, or prayed. It wasn't until i came out on my mission that I truly gained a testimony for myself. I know that Joseph Smith was called of god, to be a prophet again in these days. I know the Book of Mormon to be the word of god- another testimony of Jesus Christ. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior, that he suffered and died for our sins, and that because of Him, we can return to live with our families forever. I'm thankful for that knowledge.

How I live my faith

At the moment, I am serving a full-time mission in Southern California- the Rancho Cucamonga Mission. I am away from my family for two years to teach others about Jesus Christ, and to give service to others in the community and I love it! It's not an easy thing to do. When you go on a mission, you give up almost everything that you enjoy back home and dedicate two years to God. That means no movies, no Facebook, no Snap chat, twitter, games, or music. We also can't call or text home except on 2 days a year which demands a lot of self control. I'm grateful for the things I've learned and the testimony I've gained from being a missionary. Every day we wake up, study the scriptures, and then go out and teach people about our Heavenly Father and how much love he truly has for each of us.
