Hi I'm John

I am from Canada. I recently returned from a two-year mission in the Philippines. I am a new university student. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Twenty years old. From Canada. The eldest of six children. I liked wrestling, snowboarding, physics, and math in high school. Served a mission in the Philippines from July 2013 to July 2015. New university student.

Why I am a Mormon

I am originally a member of the Church because my parents are too. I am really thankful that I was raised in a home with the gospel of Jesus Christ in it. The reason I am still a member of the Church today though is because I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have a testimony too that our Heavenly Father has called prophets in our time. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and so are the men who are called to lead the Church today. God speaks to us through his apostles and prophets. My testimony helps me to be sure. It's like a solid foundation while there are storms of different opinions and information all around. It really helps to know what to believe about families and God and Jesus Christ and what the most important things in life really are.

How I live my faith

I try to serve others whenever I have the chance. I like to help out. I also visit other members and make sure they are doing okay temporally and spiritually. It's another opportunity to help people. I also like to be involved with politics a little because I think it's important to have a government that upholds good moral values and principles.
