Hi I'm Mitch

I'm a son. I'm a brother. I'm a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah, and moved to Alabama when I was 14, and I finished high school there. My family is the most important thing in the world to me. I love American football, tennis, video games, camping and hiking, hanging out with friends and family. I have worked in a deli and a Chinese restaurant. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Brazil Fortaleza East Mission, with plans to attend college when I return.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, and I am a 6th generation Mormon, and I take pride in my heritage. I continue to follow the gospel because I have seen the blessings that it brings to my life when I am faithful in keeping the commandments of the Lord. I bear testimony that this is the true church of God, and that the prophet Joseph Smith restored this church as it was when it was established by Jesus Christ himself. I also testify that the Book of Mormon is true, written and compiled by prophets of God. I believe in modern, living prophets, that Thomas Monson is a the current, living prophet of the Lord. I believe that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father live, and that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that he atoned for the sins of the world in order to bring about the immortality and eternal life of all people, should they choose to accept him.

How I live my faith

I have served in youth leadership positions over the youth groups in my ward, and participate in home teaching. These activities help me to connect with the people I go to church with and build a sense of community with us. Occasionally, I am asked to teach a lesson or speak in church meetings, which I am not always excited about, but I appreciate the opportunity to share my thoughts and my testimony with my neighbors.
