Hi I'm Tanis Orme

I grew up all around the United States. I'm an Eagle Scout and most important I''m a Mormon.

About Me

I've always been an outdoors person. I like to play just about every sport with my friends. I like to go Biking, Hiking, Camping, or even a combination of the three. I just graduated from High School and I've been able to also graduate from the JROTC program too. I was able to go through a even manage to become the group commander. Like I said in the Intro. I'm an Eagle Scout and that has taught me alot about living by myself and its given me a great amount of possibilities. I'm going to attend BYU Provo once I am done with my mission and hopefully become a doctor in the U.S. Air Force. As of Oct. 10th 2013 I began my life as a misswionary for the church and i'm going to Uruguay soon.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon, now that's a question. Well, when I was growing up in the church my parents always made me go to church, and I really didn't understand this at all. But now that I'm older I usually am waiting on them to get in the car. I'm still a Mormon because I have learned for myself that this is the true church of God. Its been a slow journey full of study and prayer but if you really want to find out, you will find the answer. One of the final passages in the Book of Mormon states that if you ask you Heavenly Father with real intent, having faith in Christ you will be able to find out for yourself.

How I live my faith

I live my faith mostly by being an example to those around me. People notice the small things. They've noticed that I don't get mad easily, I don't drink, but most of all that I don't swear. My calling or "job" in the church is to help bless and pass the sacrament. I guess another part of my job is to preach this gospel to others, and I do that by going with the missionaries to go teach with them and to prepare myself for my own mission.
