Hi I'm Paige

I live in florida but I grew up moving around with my family. I have 10 brothers and sisters. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've moved A LOT. Although it was hard for me to make new friends, I like being in a new place with all that goes with that - new places to shop; new attractions; different scenery. It's something like a habit now for me to start getting a little bored with a place after a year and a half or so. I am the 9th of 11 children but I really haven't been babied - that's my little sister. I have always been close to her. I'm serving a mission soon and after that, I plan to attend college to obtain a teaching degree. I love kids. I know that sounds cliche but it's so true and people say that they love me too. I think it would be great to teach.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but every member of the church has to be converted at some point. There are plenty of youth that don't stay with the church once they are old enough to make that decision. I think one of the main reasons I've chosen to live my religion is the death of my brother. He was nineteen years old when he died of an accidental drug overdose. I had just turned thirteen. It had a huge impact on how I felt about everything. In fact, I faltered for a while because it hurt a lot and I sort of doubted that God knew what He was doing. I came to realize that people make choices and God lets them. My brother is someone I'll always remember as having helped me really want to live righteously - partly so I can be with him and our family again when we all get to the other side.

How I live my faith

I'm still pretty young but I've held some positions in church. In one city I lived in, I was required to go to meetings as a representative of my youth - I was like the voice for the other youth in my congregation. It was something I enjoyed because I liked to help plan things that the youth would enjoy. In another city I lived in, I was a planner for celebrations in an early morning group of other youth in the church. In my public school education, I tried to help girls that were younger than me and steer them in the right direction when I saw they were about to make huge mistakes.
