Hi I'm Shea

I'm where I am today with the help of a loving Heavenly Father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have only graduated from high school, but I feel that big things are still to come, but I don't worry too much. I'm excited for the future and everything the possibilities that await :D. I have a diverse group of friends, some members of the church and others of other faiths. I love the water, I've been involved with swimming since a child and it's a huge part of my life. I'm also a believer in good friends and good times. It was my friends in the beginning that introduced me to the church. And here I am today. Now I'm just trying to get ready to be a husband and one day a father.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up, I wasn't ever in a situation where being an active member of the church was really supported. I even came to make fun of people who believed in God. I felt I that didn't need someone else's made up God. My world was filled with much darkness I couldn't understand. At times I felt lost, but I was too prideful to admit it. Along my way, when I was about 14, I met a man who began to talk to me about the church. At first I would fight against him. Trying to disprove his claims of faith. But always he persisted and patiently worked with me. He reached out to me to lift me up and inspire me. In a world where I had faced so much darkness, he was suddenly showed me light. I remember the first time I prayed, it was awkward, and I felt stupid at first. But then I knew. God softened my heart and let me know that it was true. All of it. Eventually, I learned that he had become this great man through the power of the spirit through the light of Christ, and his experiences serving in the mission field. So I decided to pursue the life of a Latter-Day Saint, and build a closer relationship with my Savior. As I have come to grow closer to Christ, the darkness has faded and my own light now shines for others. I have never regretted walking this path, I have only found good, and I have faith I will find more. The Holy Ghost testifies of all truth, it is by His power that I know the Book of Mormon to be true. I know that this is Christ church and that God is with the saints. Im happy now.

How I live my faith

It's to a point where my faith impacts every part of my life. Currently I'm serving a voluntary two year mission to help others receive the same blessings I've been given. I hope to be a light and a friend for all those that I've met and will meet. I try my best to do what Christ would do, and say what he would say, to help others feel his love.
