Hi I'm Hayden Wilde

I play tennis and snowboard. I sing and play three different instruments. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love art and photography. Snowboarding and Tennis are the two sports I love to play. I will soon be moving to Wilsonville Oregon and the end of June. At my current Middle School I am taking Geometry and Chemistry. Music, however, is my true passion. I play Violin, Piano, Gutair, and I sing. my favorite colors are mint, blush, and gold. I really like blue-green shades too, like teal and turquoise. I have five brothers and I am the second oldest, and I love it! My dog is a Shorkie mix between a Shih Tzu and a Yorkie. His name is Rockwell, after Porter Rockwell, Joseph Smith's body guard, even if he is a small dog!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel the truth everyday when I read the Book of Mormon and when I say my prayers. I feel the Spirit with me when I go to church and learn of Jesus. I am overcome with it when I go to the temple and do sacred ordinances. I see it as it helps me in my life. I am not very happy with consequences of choices that I make when I do not follow its teachings, and when I do I always am so much happier in the end. The teachings taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are the whole truth, not just part of it. Everything we need for exaltation is found in this Christian Gospel that contains the Priesthood and the Book of Mormon. I love this gospel!

How I live my faith

I used to be second counselor in the Beehive Presidency, but now I am a Mia Maid because I turned fourteen. I occasionally bring my close friend and neighbor to Mutual, and she has such a fun time! Because at my school every Wednesday we start class an hour later for teachers to have meetings. This gives me and my older brother (who can drive) the opportunity to go and do baptisms for the dead at the Boise, Idaho Temple. This is done by proxy by any youth worthy to enter in the temple. My Grandma helped me learn how, and now I go into New Family Tree (family history website) to reserve names to baptise that are my own ancestors. This allows them to accept the Gospel since they did not have the chance in their own mortal life. I always have a great experience doing this because I know I am providing opportunities for my ancestors that they couldn't have provided for themselves. I also live my faith by participating in the Personal Progress Program, which is made for young women between the ages 12-18. This program helps you strengthen your standards and live your life as our Savior Jesus Christ would have.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

Hayden Wilde
Temples, in all simplicity, help members participate in sacred ordinances, provide opportunities for those who have passed to have those sacred ordinances done, and it is a place for members to go to learn about gospel truths and to worship him. It is one of the places on earth that will always bring you closer to him. Show more Show less
