Hi I'm Jeffrey

I have been a college student at Brigham Young University - Idaho. I am serving a mission in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a nineteen year old who loves reading and learning. I enjoy writing and creating new things that people in the world need. I want to be an inventor in my profession, but a priority above that is when I get married, I want to be a great husband and father. I love to act and sing and I play various instruments for the fun of it. I enjoy performing in musicals and plays as well as movies. I hope to someday make some movies with a family member about things that will help others see life in a new way. I am serving a mission in California, and I love it because for two years I get to completely serve the Lord with all my might, mind and strength. I have found that serving the Lord in this way blesses my life and my family's as well. I know that This is the Lord's true church and gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of what I know to be true. When I read the Book of Mormon, it took me two times of reading and studying it, but while I was reading, I was being inspired and guided by the Holy Ghost to know that the book was true. So when I went to follow the advice of Moroni in the book of Moroni 10:4, where he says to pray and ask if the Book is not true, I already knew, but nevertheless received a re-confirmation that it is indeed true. Since that time, I have read the Book of Mormon multiple times, because every time I do, I feel the Holy Spirit reaffirm my knowledge that it is God's word. Before I came on my mission, I waited for the call to serve for a much trying year. But I will tell you that I learned during that year that the Lord Jesus Christ lives! I learned that I will follow Him through whatever He sees fit to give me and that with Him, all things are possible. I learned of the power of His great and everlasting Atonement, and of the wisdom of God, our Heavenly Father, in setting up a plan and a Savior for our Salvation. I choose to be a member because I know this Gospel is true and that the Mormon church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church restored by the prophet Joseph Smith, a man of God. I know that we also have a prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson and that he is inspired from God even as Joseph Smith was. I have prayed and asked God if these things are indeed true, and I have received an answer that they are. I am so blessed to have the Church and the Savior in my life!

How I live my faith

As a Mormon, I strive to live my faith by attending my church meetings and by paying a full tithe of my income. I am a home teacher and have taught several families the gospel in their homes. I try to live a full life by doing what the Lord commands and using the talents that he has given me. I love my family very much and am so very grateful to have them. Every day, as I go out and do all my daily activities, I try to do things the way our Lord Jesus would do them, even if it is not a conscious thought as I do them. I try to pray every morning and every night, and every time in between when I want to express thanks or as for a blessing, I look for God's tender mercies each day in my life because I know I will find them if I look. I keep a positive outlook for life and alter my perspective as much as I can if it is short-sighted. I have faith in and follow the words of the past and present day prophets. I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost.
