Hi I'm Sid

I was not born in Texas, but I got there as soon as I could. I am the last of seven children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the father of four children and, aside from my forever wife and friend, spend most of my time with or thinking about them. I have a close family and yet we all live many thousands of miles apart. I love to golf with friends, create home videos to capture memories, and serve others who might be in need. I enjoy my professional associations and being a part of the energy industry which helps people enjoy more comfortable lives.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was young, but as a life-long investigator of the church I have grown more convinced of its tenets and principles as I have lived them. Not out of blind adherence, but born out of personal experience which has led to undeniable happiness, peace and direction in my life. I am not tied to the church, but I am drawn to it. I love the emphasis the church places on the the family and caring for others. I now have a better understanding of where I came from, why I am here in this life, and where I am going after I die. Like a puzzle coming together piece by piece, that is how my faith in Christ has developed, facilitated by his doctrine as found in the Holy Scriptures. I have learned how to pray to God and have found clear answers through those scriptures and others he places in my path.

How I live my faith

In my personal time I enjoy working with youth of varied backgrounds to help them build self confidence in themselves and faith in things not seen, but true. I also look after elderly people and those people like me who are just trying to meet life's challenges as best they can. We look after each other and it allows us to feel more connected to each other like one feels in a family. We consider each other family, and even call each other brother and sister. It is comfortable. We help each other get through the many ups and downs that life throws at us. It's nice to never feel alone.
