Hi I'm S. Jarom

I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love motors. Cars, motorcycles, anything that moves. If I ever have spare time you'll find me out in my garage building motorcycles. Family is the most important thing in my life. I love doing things outdoors- hiking, swimming, biking, and just being out in nature enjoying Gods creations. I love to live life and meet new people. I've been to about a dozen countries and love experiencing different cultures. I believe we are all brothers and sisters- children of our Heavenly Father. I find great joy giving service and making other people happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have received a witness of the truthfulness of this gospel that I cant deny. I read the Book of Mormon, I prayed about it, and I received an answer from my Heavenly Father that what I had read is true- everything built from there. This gospel is so much more than having a church to attend on Sunday- it is something that influences and blesses me every day. It is peace and comfort in a world of changing values. It is a sense of belonging in my Saviors fold. I wouldn't trade this knowledge for anything.

How I live my faith

I always try to be a good example. Whether its at home, school, work, or in church I always try to be the kind of person that would make my Heavenly Father proud. I have had many leadership callings in the church and I always try my hardest to bless and influence the lives of those I serve for good. I am currently a full-time missionary for the church serving in Missouri, USA. My decision to serve has been the best decision of my life. This gospel has brought me so much happiness and peace- I love sharing that with my brothers and sisters here in MO.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

S. Jarom
Jesus Christ's atonement was an act of love. The atonement started with Christ's suffering in Gethsemane for our sins, continued on the cross of Calvary, and was completed by his resurrection on the 3rd day. Christ's essential atonement allows us to overcome 2 types of death- physical death and spiritual death. Because Christ overcame physical death with His personal resurrection we now have a promise that all who have ever lived and died on this earth will be reunited with their physical bodies when Christ comes again. When Christ suffered in Gethsemane he paid the debt of our sins and made it possible for us to repent. This necessitates of course that we utilize His atoning sacrifice through repentance so that we can become clean of our mistakes and ultimately become liberated from the guilt associated with transgressing the laws of God. It is through repentance that we are able to overcome "spiritual death". I am so grateful for my Savior's sacrifice that allows me to be liberated from the guilt of my shortcomings and to continually repent and bring my life in closer harmony with His teachings. I know that it is only through His great sacrifice that I can stand spotless before my Heavenly Father in the last day. Show more Show less
