Hi I'm Taylor

I'm a happy resident of the USA. I plan on making reptile care my career. I love video games too, and I'm a mormon

About Me

My name is Taylor, and I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on a half moon in July… Yet I consider New Mexico my true home. I moved to Georgia a while back, and dislike the swamp. I am working in the field of biology, hoping to find a career in reptile studies and conservation. I adore my reptiles, and have a special attachment to each one of my pets that add to the collection. I’m only in college now, but I attempt to be mature for my age where I can. I have a love for nature as well as a love for technology. I am a bit of a misanthrope, but I work very hard to be polite and treat everyone equally. I have high moral standards and I strive to be loyal, hardworking, chivalrous, respectful, and strong in everything I work towards and towards everyone I work for. I love reptiles, camping, hiking, video games, drawing, eating food, and spending time with my close friends and awesome family. I also have a wild imagination, and adore music and writing though I have little talent in either one! I currently work at a nature center as a docent, but plan to become a dangerous reptile handler and keeper. I have a younger sister in high school, and two loving parents, and a whole plethora of pets!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it is what I was born to be. A mormon is a leader, a teacher, a student, a friend, a speaker, a healer, a listener. To be a mormon isn't just to be part of a religion, it's to stand for what you believe in and to not be afraid of whats to come. The world is a cold and cruel place, But that shouldn't make any bit of a difference to what you want to do and what you know is right. I am a mormon because I am a fighter, because I want to learn and to hear what the world and God have to tell me. I am a mormon because I can lean on a sword at night and think about what good I did that day. Sure, there are things I'd like to try... Things I've been advised to avoid... But those things in the grand scheme don't matter. I am a mormon because it is the right thing to be, it is the right thing for me, and I can use it to protect my friends and family members who don't believe the same things I do. Mormonism is equality, individuality, the ability to ask questions and to seek answers and to believe what you know is right. I will be the scientist, the theorist, the skeptic, but even through every theory and every book I annotate I can believe what I want... and this is what I want to believe in. The history is true, the science is firm, and what isn't defined is open for me and the spirit in me to decide. This is what I was born to be, religious, yet scientific, and kind, and accepting. I can try to be that friend people can trust, I can strive to be that person people can depend on. It is what I am. I am a mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through understanding. The world is very diverse, and every culture and faith has something to offer. I feel that with every person I meet, a piece of me goes with them, and if I take the time to listen and understand, someone will take the time to listen to me. My faith is that we are all humans, and that we were put where we are for a reason. I try to accept that every day, using what I have to serve others and to proclaim my loyalty to my religion, my country, my family, my friends, and my God. I also live my faith through keeping the promises I made, and to try every day to be a better person. It isn't easy, and honestly sometimes I wonder what keeps me going, but I always stand back on my feet and press forward. I am a daughter of God, a warrior of truth, and a soldier of this cause. I fight for everyone who will listen, anyone who will respect, and for every person of any denomination who strives for goodness and service. My faith is that everything will work just how it was intended to. The universe is huge, beautiful, and chaotic for a reason, to keep moving forward.
