Hi I'm Ty

Im from Bountiful. I love football. Im a mormon

About Me

Hi I'm Ty, I'm 18 years old and I am a senior at my High school. I am a sports fanatic I love baseball, football, and basketball. I love to hangout with friends and have a great time. I have parents that are divorced and I live with my father and my mother lives 2000 miles away. It is not a easy thing for me but through my heavenly father I know that everything is the way it is for a reason.

Why I am a Mormon

I had the simple questions and didn't know the answers like many others. I grew up in the church and for one reason or the other it was very hard for me to always make the right choices as it is for everyone. I read the Book of Mormon two times before I actually read it. By actually reading it I mean reading it cause I wanted to not because it was the right thing to do. I knew that I was happier when I did what was right. After I read the Book of Mormon for me I knew something had changed. I knew I would never be the same I would never be as lost as I was before. I felt the spirit with me so much more and a peace I had never felt in my life. I felt like no matter how bad things got or how stressed I was I could do anything because Heavenly Father was there to help me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I also know the Bible to be true and that they are both the word of God. I Know that Joseph Smith is a prophet and that there are latter day prophets on the Earth to help us do what Heavenly Father wants us to do. I know that if you are struggling and cant find the answers you can do as James 1:5-6 does and ask Heavenly father with nothing wavering and he will answer your prayers when he is ready for you. I testify of these thing in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen

How I live my faith

I am the first assistant to the Bishop for my age group. I participate in Seminary at my school and love going and learning with other kids my age that have the same desires as me. I work with mentally disabled teenagers at my school and I love it! Being able to work with them has brought so much joy to my life. There are not many people I know that are always smiling and happy but the few that I do are in that group. They have taught me so much about the love of Christ and seeing how I personally can love others more and not make judgments. Most of my family is active in the church and luckily those that aren't are still supportive of me. I have been called to serve a two year mission and much of my extended family are of different religions but still support my choice to serve the lord.
