Hi I'm Anna

I grew up in Manila. I worked in Doha. I love to travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I studied Business Administration in the top school of the Philippines. I was very active in extra-curricular activities during university and I made a lot of good friends during that time. These days, I spend my time finding good books to read and great music to listen to. I am happiest when I am in the company of great friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family where my parents were already converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. But there came a time, specifically when I was in university that I stopped attending church and keeping the commandments. Even when I felt that I was in the incorrect path, I never doubted that the Church is true. I eventually found my way back and discovered that I am happiest in my life when I obey the commandments of Jesus Christ. Knowing of him through the church, gives me joy and purpose.

How I live my faith

During my stay in Doha where I worked for two years, I had the chance to work with young ladies aged 12-18. It was a great opportunity to help young women come to be their best selves. Also, I felt young and hip doing so! :)

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Anna
President Gordon B. Hinckley, prior president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints made the following statement in 2005 about Joseph Smith: “We do not worship [Joseph Smith] the Prophet. We worship God our Eternal Father and the risen Lord Jesus Christ. But we acknowledge the Prophet; we proclaim him; we respect him; we reverence him as an instrument in the hands of the Almighty in restoring to the earth the ancient truths of the divine gospel, together with the priesthood through which the authority of God is exercised in the affairs of His Church and for the blessing of His people” (Gordon B. Hinckley, “Joseph Smith Jr.—Prophet of God, Mighty Servant,” Ensign, Dec 2005, 2–6). Show more Show less
