Hi I'm Concepcion

I am a Arizonan. I know where real happiness lies and how to get it. I love people. I am Mormon.

About Me

I have a mother who has sacrificed a lot and younger siblings who are my life. I have attended BYU and am working towards a degree in Communications. On my free time I love to be active and go to the gym and for fun dance. Church and family are my greatest values. I have a testimony and not afraid to share it. My lifelong goal is to be an example to to others that no matter what you go through in life you can still be happy and find joy.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 14 years old I was spending my Saturdays with a lady who owned a little thrift shop and would spend the whole day with her helping her out there. A friend introduced me to this lady and ever since me and this lady (we will can Joan) became good friends. Joan was a very religious Catholic woman and it was familiar to me because my entire family is Catholic and I was even baptized when I was a baby. So in time she gave me a bible as a gift and I had become fascinated that there was a God and more than this life. So I started reading to my brother and sister. One day my mom and I were driving around because we had lost our home ad found this Mormon church. I have never even heard about the Mormons. So it was Tuesday and I saw a lady walk out of the building and the next day and my mom and I attended church on Sunday to talk to the Bishop about giving us help. No sooner I found myself taking the missionary lessons and as I would ask Elder Poteki and Elder Christensen many questions I knew already that this was the truth they were speaking and wanted to have that good and happy feeling they had. As young as I was, I had received permission from my mother to be baptized because I explained to her how much I wanted it. And I was baptized and I look bad and can see the Lords hand in my life. As I gotten older I realized how much of a difference the Gospel had made in my life and know for sure that without certain people or the Gospel I would be on a completely different path a whole different person. I am grateful that I was able to get baptized and know everyone has their story and this makes up a special piece of mine.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying every single day to be like Jesus Christ. When I was younger I lived it by trying to bring my mom and younger siblings together at night for family prayer. I would always hope and pray that they would have a desire to receive the joy and happiness I have received in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I also live my faith by attending church on Sunday, listening to the leaders of the church, fasting, paying my tithing, and praying to my Heaven Father Daily. Most Importantly I try to be the best example to my family because I know that one day they will be ready to gain a testimony of the truth and receive the joy that comes with following Jesus and his teachings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As I have grown up to understand that even if my family won't accept the truth at this time I will stay strong and continue to live my life looking to my Savior and relying wholly and fully on him. I have realized that I want to share this happiness I have with others too so they can have the opportunity to feel it. In January 8, 2014 I will be reporting to the Provo MTC and then to serve the Lord and the people of Mexico. I was called to serve in the Xalapa, Mexico mission. I will be working as hard as I can and not waste my time and try to be faithful and obedient so I can have the Holy Spirit with me always to lead me through the journey. Those are just a few ways I live my faith.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

When you look at the sky and see the trillions and trillions of stars, especially through the hubble space telescope. When you see a rainbow after it rains. When a sun sets and the soft light stretches across the horizon. When you hear sweet music and you get a peaceful happy feeling inside of you. When you hear thunder and lightning outside. When it pours rain outside. When a baby is born. When you hear the wind blow. When people come out of no where to bring you up when your feeling down. When your dad says he is proud of you. When your mom gives you a hug when you cry. When you are protective of your little sister. When you breathe. When you go to a different country and realize in every culture family is important. When you take a bite out of a dove chocolate. When you relax in a hot spring. When you fall down on your knees and pray with every energy of your soul to this supreme being, God, and ask for yourself without doubt that the answer will come, you WILL know without a shadow of a doubt that there indeed is a God and has been waiting for you to realize this.
