Hi I'm Nalia

I love to laugh, I like to have fun and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm Samoan, Hawaiian and Japanese. Born and raised in Hawai'i. I attend Brigham Young University-Provo and have grown to appreciate my culture, family and this gospel. I am very competitive and really enjoy winning. HAHA I play women's rugby for BYU and I love my team! I love being apart of something bigger than myself. I enjoy learning and preforming dances from the islands of Polynesia. When I am home I love going surfing with my sister and brother. I love being active and outdoors BUT I also like those relaxing days where you just do NOTHING!

Why I am a Mormon

I was about 15 years old and attending an Especial For Youth program sponsored by the church when I prayed to Heavenly Father to find out for myself if this gospel was true. Throughout the whole week I carefully listened to the promptings given by the spirit. By the end of the program I received confirmation through the Holy Ghost that this church was absolutely. I had complete joy and peace in my heart telling me that this church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was restored upon the earth today through Joseph Smith. It was impressed upon me that week that if I lived up to the covenants I made at baptism and the commandments Heavenly Father has given, I would be able to reap the blessings throughout my life. That is why I stayed a member of this faith. I have made my mistakes along the way but I know who I am, and I will always keep fighting to live a righteous life as a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

I try my best to live my faith through word, thought and deed. I make mistakes everyday but thus is life, no one is perfect. That is why we we're given the gift of repentance: to change. I choose to act on my faith by doing the right thing when the opposite is much easier. It's hard but faith is not meant to tip toe around things but to get through it. When times get too hard to stand, kneel. I've learned that my Heavenly Father knows who I am, loves me personally and will help me overcome anything I am dealing with. So I try to live my life helping others know that He loves them too!
