Hi I'm Ray

I'm a budding artist, writer, actress and singer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well, as I mentioned in my intro, I'm into art, music, acting and writing. I am currently writing a book series that I have been working on since I was ten, and I am constantly coming up with all kinds of story ideas for books or scripts or comic books and the like. I also like to draw the characters and Places I come up with. I took two art classes in college and I loved being able to just go and create for three solid hours. I also enjoy acting and making movies. I always thought I would enjoy a film more if I could be a part of it somehow. Music has always been a part of my life, and I grew up with oldies artists like the Monkees , Journey, Engelbert Humperdink , Petula Clark. I always felt that these different forms of media are powerful tools and great entertainment when used properly.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have come to know this Church is the true church, the true gospel of Christ. When I look at the world around me, at history, at the earth, I just can't deny that there is something bigger, someone bigger, than myself out there. Someone who loves me and does everything for my good and benefit. That someone is God the Eternal Father, AND His Son, Jesus Christ. And they love everyone as much as they love me. They want all of us to succeed and return to them. That is why we have He established His Church, so we would know the way to return to him.

How I live my faith

I am currently preparing to serve a mission for the Church. I was called as a youth leader for about a year, and have served in various areas when I was a youth.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

All Mormon men are required to serve a mission as part of their Priesthood duties and are now able to serve a two year full time mission at the age of 18. Women are gladly excepted as missionaries and their service is highly appreciated, but it is not required for them. If they feel the Lord needs them on the Mission Field, then they are more than welcome to go. Senior couples can also serve a mission if they feel the desire. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

We believe that God is a being of flesh and bone, and is the literal Father of our spirits. We believe He is the God of all, created the earth, and created our bodies in his image. We believe He is perfect, all knowing, all seeing, and therefore the only one who can truly judge a man's heart. We also believe He is perfectly just and merciful. We believe He knows and loves each of us personally, and wants all His children to return to live with Him. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about “eternal life?”

We believe that immortality and eternal life are two separate things. Immortality is the state of being immortal, not subject to death or pain or illness. Eternal life is the state of being able to live in God's presence and experience a fullness of joy. We believe that all will receive immortality and be resurrected, but that not all will receive eternal life. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are loving, nurturing, and dedicate to God and family. Men and women are totally equal in God's eyes and in the eyes of the Church, but are assigned different tasks to perform. To man it is given to provide and protect, to women, nurture and care for. Both are equal partners in parenthood, and are required to raise the children as a team. Show more Show less
