Hi I'm Tyler Huff

I'm from Riverton, Utah. I love singing, messing around/having fun with friends, I love sports & to be outdoors. And I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello my name is Tyler or Ty for short. I am a different kind of guy, some people like to say well rounded. I usually just say weird. First off, I'm a huge sports fan. I play Basketball and Baseball competitively and I play Football and Ultimate Frisbee for fun. I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, you name it, if it's outdoors I probably like to do it. I love having fun and joking around. I'm really sarcastic. I also like to sing, I was in choir in High School. I play guitar, but am not very good yet. I am a quiet guy, for the most part. Sometimes you just can't get me to shut up though. I love to be there for people. I love to do service for people, go do things with them, help them, even if it is just sitting and listening to them. I'm currently on a mission in Texas (Texas Houston East Mission) from June of 2013 to June 2015.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I actually struggled in my faith. I had questions about if this was the true church of Christ. I kept on going to church because my parents made me. But I was changed when I had a very spiritual moment. The Spirit of God was so strong and the Holy Ghost confirmed to me it was true. I wanted to feel that more so I started to read Book of Mormon and pray about it. And every time I do I find that same feeling and I get the conformation it is true. I promise that if You read and study the Book of Mormon and pray to God with a broken heart and a contrite spirit about if it is true you WILL have the same feelings I do and know that it is true. When You pray make it personal. Tell god how you feel, what your greatful for, and what you want help with. Refer to Him in a respectful manner. You end in the name of Jesus Crist, amen. If you pray like that and actually mean what your saying He WILL answer you.

How I live my faith

At home I was part of my church group for my age group, it is also our scout troop. I participate in activities such as service projects, Duty to God (a youth program), scouting (I'm a Eagle Scout), going to the temple (a Place of Worship), ect. I'm also a graduated seminary student. Seminary is a place we learn about the teachings of the scriptures, outside of church and during the school week. There is four years to the seminary program, each different year we study a new book, The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants (D&C) and the Pearl of Great Price, The Old Testament, and The New Testament. I am a missionary for my church right now. I'm serving my 2-year mission in the great state of Texas! It's hard to be away from your family for two whole years, but God blesses me and my family for it. The two years are dedicated to the Lord our God and Jesus Christ. As a missionary I share a message about Jesus Christ and His Gospel and how it can bless everyone.

Are Mormons Christians?

Tyler Huff
Yes, we are Christians. The name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. It is only through His Atonement that we can return to Our Heavenly Father. To put it simply, we believe in God the Father, our Savior, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Ghost. The difference is that we believe that they are 3 seprate beings. Not all one being, but they have the same eternal intent, to save us and bring us all back to our Father in Heaven. That's there I think people get confused. Show more Show less
