Hi I'm Ty Mangum

I am a Mormon. I live in Beaver Utah, I am 19 years old, and will be serving in the Idaho Boise mission on August 28.

About Me

My name is Ty. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a recent High School graduate, leaving on a mission for two years in the Boise Idaho area. I have a passion for running, gardening, and hanging out with my friends when I get the chance. When I come back from my mission I will be attending Brigham Young University Idaho for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know this church is true. I was born in this church by two loving parents who have always supported me throughout my life so far. I know this church is true because I have prayed about it, as well as had experiences in my life that have proven it so. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a prophet, who is hear to lead and guide us through the difficulties of this world we live in. I know that the council he gives us is truly given from our loving Heavenly Father who wants us to return to him someday. Even the council he gives may be hard to understand or participate in sometimes, but if we do it we will be Happy. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophets, and through our Heavenly Father restored the true gospel to the Earth. I know my family can be forever with my throughout this life and in the next because of the Priesthood keys given to Joseph Smith in the Kirtland Ohio temple. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ given to his people in these Latter days. When I feel alone, or have troubles in my life I know that if I go to this book for guidance I will receive answers to my problems, as well as happiness in my lowliness hours. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and is always there for me. I know he knows me by name, knows my every desire, and wants me to be happy in this life. I know that I can go to him in prayer and receive guidance when I ask in faith. I know that the adversities that happen in my life are all for a reason. And through these adversities I can grow and become more like him every day. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live righteously in the eyes of my Heavenly father. I give service to those in need by my own works, as well as participating in ward community projects, Boy Scouts of America, and Mutual activities. I know by giving service to those people, reading my scriptures, attending meetings, and all other things that my Savior has me do I will be eternally happy by doing those things.
