Hi I'm Bree

I'm a laugh-er, an Olympic gum spitter, a Buckeye and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I left the beautiful land of Utah to serve a mission in the "Great Ohio" and I'm loving it! I like to laugh and be outdoors! Hiking, boating, swimming, camping, sports, anything that makes life worth living! When I'm not serving a mission, I love watching movies with cute boys and letting my family know that I love them. Someday, I hope to travel the world and make it big with my guitar, but we all know how that is. I'm most looking forward to having the cutest kids in the world and a smoking hot husband. I love this church, and I know that it's true.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is Mormon, so it all started when I was TINY and my mom read the Book of Mormon to me. I couldn't understand it at first (and sometimes still don't) but as I got older, the feeling stuck with me. When I was a teenager, I didn't do most of the things that I should have. When I was 17 and getting ready to graduate I realized that I didn't like how I felt. I did not want to go out and face the world being the person that I was. I decided that I had to find God. I had to figure out if my church was true or I had to find the one that was. I had memorized a scripture, John 7:17 "If any man will do His will, he will know of the doctrine whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself" I took this as a challenge. Like God was saying "Try me!", so I did. I learned all that I could about other churches, I asked my friends, I even asked my boyfriends Buddhist step-dad to teach me to meditate! I didn't have anything to show for my efforts. However, during all of this, I had been reading the Book of Mormon. I had been testing out the words of ancient and modern prophets. They all promised blessings if I lived a certain way. I tried it. I stopped doing some things and I started doing others. Then, I prayed my little heart out. I started to notice the difference. The blessings came. It was true! I wanted to tell everybody! A few months later, the prophet Thomas S. Monson, announced that girls could serve missions when they were 19. I was 18 1/2. I went! That's where I am today!

How I live my faith

I live it by smiling! My faith makes me happy! I never have to be afraid, I never have to feel alone, I can trust in a Heavenly Father who loves me. If people can see that, then maybe they'll wonder what I have!

How can I know Mormonism is true?

John 7:17- "If any man will do his will, he will know of the doctrine whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself." Try it! When I was seventeen, I decided nobody else was going to tell me what to believe. I wanted to find out for myself. After I had tried what the Church leaders suggested, I found that the blessings that were promised, came. I know it's true because it has proven itself and continues to. Show more Show less
