Hi I'm Morgan

I grew up in Olathe, I play a sport called Schleuderball and am an Eagle Scout. I'm a Morman.

About Me

I have grown up in Olathe KS, and was home schooled through fifth grade. My mom died when I was nine years old from Breast Cancer, and I started attending public school after her death. In High school I was invited to play a sport called Schleuderball by my German Teacher. After five years of playing it with a small group of freinds, we are now trying to make it a district sport. I come from a large family of eleven kids, I'm the tenth. I enjoy playing sports outdoors, playing on playgrounds with my freinds, hanging out with my nephews, and I am also practicing Japanese sword fighting and hand to hand combat.

Why I am a Mormon

For me I grew up in the chruch. my Parents were members and all throughout life I always believed the church was true. Three events in my life have solidified my testimony of the Gospel. The first one was when I was Baptized at age eight. Dureing the Baptism I felt so happy, and I remember the Holy Ghost feeling so strong that day. The Holy Ghost bore witness to me that what I was doing was right, and that the Lord was pleased with me. The Second was when my mom died. Dureing the Funeral and afterwards, my Family was all around us, we have a large family, and even though she was dead, I knew that she was in Heaven. My nine year old mind didnt quite comprehend everything, but I knew that she was still alive in Heaven, and that our family would be together forever in Heaven. The third reason. When I first started preparing to go on a Mission, I decided that I wanted to know for myself, if the Gospel and the church was true. I read the Book of Morman through and finished it on december 4th 2011, my nineteenth birthday. I finished reading Moroni Chapter ten, knelt down and asked my Father in Heaven if the things in the Book of Morman were not true. I explained to him that I wanted to know for myself, not because everyone else said it was, but because I knew it was true. after my prayer I felt the strongest impression of comfort and love I've ever felt I cant adequetly describe it, right then I knew without a doubt that the Book of Morman was true, and this is the true church.

How I live my faith

I coach Schleuderball at the High School I graduated from. There I try to help young men have fun by playing a differnt sport outside and excersising. I'm also a volunteer in my Scout Troop, and I am a ward Missionary. I help invstigators become freinds with the members of the church, and make them feel welcome in church. I previously taught the young children in Sunday School, that was probably my favorite calling in the church. Right now, I'm preparing to serve a Church Mission for two years. I will be serving in Ghana Africa and I couldn't be more excited! I try my best to stand for my beliefs and be a good example of how to live and respect others properly as Christ would have done.

In whom should we have faith?

We should have faith in Jesus Christ. The scriptures testify of Christ, that he is the Savior of the world, there is no other means by which we can be saved, except by Christ and Christ alone. Show more Show less
