Hi I'm Peter

I live in Hampshire, England. I'm married with four children and three grandsons and work as an electronics engineer.

About Me

I spend a lot of my spare time doing DIY and like gardening when the weather is good. I enjoy spending time with my wife and family. Our children are all grown up, married and have moved out so its really nice when they visit or we talk on the phone. I dont have a lot of time for hobbies but when I do get time to relax I enjoy building radio control models. When my wife and I have time to go out we like to go on country walks or explore historical places, we are both interested in family hisory.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member in 1983 after the missionaries taught us about the church. Some of the things they taught us seemed very new and strange to me but as we found out more about the church, studied both the Bible and Book of Mormon and prayed about the things we learnt I knew in my heart that this was the true church upon the earth and I wanted to be part of it. Having been a member for many years now I have never found reason to doubt the teachings of the church. I am so greatful that I know the true purpose of life, that I have a saviour who loves me and that I can receive guidance through the holy spirit.

How I live my faith

I make myself available to help my family whenever they need me, even though they are grown up there are still lots of opertunities to help. I serve in the church as a clerk which involves meeting regularly with the church leaders, looking after church membership records and preparing statistical reports. Because I have become quite experienced I also travel to other congregations to help train other clerks in their duties.
