Hi I'm Wa Seng

I grew up in Stockton, California. I am a business owner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing the piano in my spare time. I love to improvise and rearrange the hymns to my kind of music style. I also enjoy composing my own music at the piano. I also play the piano when I feel troubled or lost. It gives me inspiration. I feel calm, relaxed and motivated.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my parents' conversion. At five months old, my parents and I were sponsored by a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (aka Mormon) to come to America. At the time, we did not know he was a Mormon. We landed in Midvale, Utah in December 1979 and lived with our sponsors for a while until they found us a place to live. One day I got very sick and would not drink my bottle. I was crying and in pain it seems. My parents thought I was going to die. They became very worried and helpless. They did not know what to do. They were new to this country and felt lost. My dad spoke very little English. He communicated with our sponsor and he said not to worry. He will have a couple missionary come by that evening to pray for me and give me a blessing. A miracle took place that night. I was able to drink my bottle and slept throughout the night. My parents saw a miracle. They felt it. They were surprised and inspired to ask about the church and how to join. After a few lessons from the missionaries, my parents were baptized and became members of this church. This is their testimony. It now is my testimony. I know it to be true even if I don't remember anything as an infant. Growing up I've seen many miracles and blessings in my life that strengthens my testimony and faith. I know that if I live the gospel of Jesus Christ I am blessed.

How I live my faith

As a former Sunday school teacher, I know how important it is for me to continually strive to live my faith. It keeps me on that straight and narrow path that I some times tend to stray away from. Currently, as the Music Chairman, I am conducting a choir where we learn to sing as a group and in harmony.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Wa Seng
God has provided many evidences of His existence. One of these is the testimony of His creations: “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” (Psalms 19:1). Have you ever looked in awe at the night sky with its billions of stars? Or studied the intricate details of a leaf or flower? Or marveled at the miracle of a tiny new baby? These beautiful and complex creations didn’t come about by chance. They are the creations of God, your Heavenly Father. They can remind you of His existence and of His love for His children. An ancient prophet declared: “All things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth... and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator” (Book of Mormon, Alma 30:44).
