Hi I'm Rosemary

I am a mother and I'm in nursing school. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mother and I am working my way through nursing school, I graduate August 2014. My daughter is almost one year old. I enjoy hiking, swimming, photography, and attempting crafts, but mainly I enjoy being a mother (I cloth diaper and 'baby wear'). I am currently working at a pizza delivery place (they have short shifts and it enables me to spend more time with my daughter even though it doesn't pay the most). I also have a small side photography business that's more of like a hobby.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 14, I was actually in foster care and my adopted family were active members. I read the Book of Mormon and asked about the truthfulness of it and I was given my answer, it is true. My real father is also a member, so I felt like it was Heavenly Fathers way of saying here are two fantastic families so clearly I want you to know the Gospel is true. However, I became a typical rebellious teenager and quit going to church around 17, however I always knew its something I wanted in my life I was just unwilling to at that time, I always said one day, one day. Fast forward some growing pains and lesson learning: At 22 I was blessed with a beautiful daughter and my whole world changed. I could no longer live and be as I was because I did know one thing through all of that and that was that I wanted my daughter to grown up in the gospel, I didn't have a million convincing reasons why I just knew it was where my daughter and I should be. I have been active in church since she was 3 months old. Somedays are harder than others but I know that even through the trials everything will work out and if I live my in such a way that I will be sealed to my daughter and be with her for all eternity, along with an eternal companion. I know when I am at church and reading my scriptures it just feels right and I know it is where I am supposed to be, doing the next right thing, because sometimes that's how life if, one next right choice at a time. I do testify that the church and the Book of Mormon is true and HeavenlyFather knows each one of us by name and that He is forgiving and loving.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by example, I try to stand as a wittiness of the faith at all times now, not only for myself but for my daughter because she's going to want to be just like what she sees. I help organize activities with the women at church, we do fun things like bonfires and cupcake decoration lessons. I think the best way I can live it is to be a good example.
