Hi I'm Amber

I've found my testimony in the Church of Jesus of Christ of Latter Day Saints when I was 22 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up in many places in the states and have met a lot of really awesome people. Many good people and many good Saints have helped make me the person I am today. I'm a widowed mom of one and a nurse, I love both jobs immensly. I am so grateful to my parents for giving me the blessing of having the gospel in my life. Life is full of many blessings and trials; with that being said I have truly come to rely on the Lord through mine. With out a doubt his presence in my life has put on a path of true joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by two parents who were converts. Since I was a child I knew it was right and very special. When I was a teenager I let the other things become more important than going to church and I became inactive. I didn't attend church for six years. One day I had a compilation of events including the Elders showing up at more door inspire me to go back. It was hard at first, I had to give up my perception on what I thought was the most important things and focus on the Lord. I never turned back. Now eight years later after becoming reactivated in the church and truly discovering how important I am to Heavenly Father my testimony has once again been strengthened. Not too long ago my husband of only a couple months was killed by a drunk driver. It has been emotionally devasting and hard. During this time I have felt no anguish though in where my husband is and what is he is doing. Being a Mormon we believe in what is called the Plan of Salvation, our timeline of our existance after this life. Knowing, understanding, and believing in this plan of our families being together for ever has brought me such peace. A peace that is truly a mercy of Heavenly Father. Although I still miss my husband dearly I know that my Heavenly Father is here for me and answers my prayers. I visit our temples frequently to do work with is part of our Plan of Salvation and to be close to Heavenly Father. Temples are one of our most special and sacred blessings, it is truly humbling to be able to be in the Lords house on this earth. I'm Mormon and I have a sure knowledgle of the gospel and Church of Jesus Christ restored on this earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be the best example in church and outside of church I can be. Religion makes me the person I am. I love serving in my ward and fulfilling my calling which is teaching children in Sunday school. It gives me real hope for the future of our children by seeing the burning testimonies the children I teach have in the Lord. I think being LDS is amazing, I try to bear my testimony every day and pray I come across anyone who may be ready to listen to it. I wish I could share just one tenth of the joy I have experienced through the gospel with everyone I know.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is having true joy. It gives me perspective constantly on what is important in my life. One of my favorite quotes by a gentlemen in the LDS first presidency is "Life is to be enjoyed, not endured". I think of that quote daily. Show more Show less
