Hi I'm Haley

I was born and raised in Utah, I work hard, and love my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

A little bit about me, I actually just finished my first year of college, and since the age change for missionaries, I have turned my papers in and I am getting ready to go serve a mission in San Francisco/Oakland California. I grew up as an only child but my mom within the last few years has gotten remarried and now I have four step brothers, and two little half sisters who are two and four months old. Basically I love life, especially being outside, hiking, running, or just hanging out and not really doing anything just as long as its a nice day. I have great friends who I love to hang out with. I also have a huge weakness for clothes, jewelry, and of course shoes. And this is all just a little bit about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm not a convert to the Mormon church, but I really believe that every member has a conversion story. I don't think that that conversion story really has a beginning or an ending, everybody will have times in their lives when everything seems to just make sense, but there will also be hard times. It is in those hard times growth can happen, and it is those times when we really question ourselves and if we search with faith for answers then conversion happens. When I was younger because I was bullied a lot at school, and because of circumstances with my family, I felt completely alone. This turned into hate and anger and I began to question if god cared, and that lead me to question whether god even existed. Through many personal experiences and through the testimonies of people that I really care about, and especially through the testimony of the spirit I have come to love this Gospel with all my heart. It has changed my life, it had taught me to forgive, it has taught me how to be grateful, it has taught me to look upon peoples hearts instead of their actions, and most importantly it has taught me how to be happy. Life is not easy, it never will be, but the gospel of Jesus Christ has shown me how to enjoy it.

How I live my faith

The biggest thing right know on how I'm living my faith is getting prepared to go on an LDS Mission. When the age changed from 21 to 19 for girls I had a decision I needed to make, and I prayed so much, and I feel like I haven't stopped praying since. I have been focusing a lot on continuing to be worthy to go on a mission, and my goal is to be the type of missionary that people can look to for strength. I want to inspire people and really have the light of Christ with me, of course this is always a work in progress.
