Hi I'm Mark

I grew up in Utah. I'm a recent high school graduate. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a recent high school graduate and I will soon go to college. I enjoy drawing and writing stories. I also run long and short-distance races. I enjoy swimming, fishing, and camping. I have camped in both forests and deserts. I play basketball with my friends and family, and I occasionally play soccer. I plan to write more essays and stories as well as study medical science in college.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family who are already Mormon. With the teachings of my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles, I have learned about Jesus Christ and his ministry on the Earth. I have believed in God for as long as I can remember. I have chosen to be a member of the Mormon church not just because my family belongs to the church, but because I have studied the Book of Mormon and the Bible on my own, and I have been convinced that the doctrines of the LDS church are correct. I continue to follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ because of my belief of His Atonement and all He has done for us. I feel that because He has done so much for us, that we ought to do all we can to please Him and do what He would want us to do.

How I live my faith

I served my community as a youth city council member and co-mayor. I conducted service projects, activities, and fundraisers with this youth city council group that involve community spirit. For church callings, I have been asked to be a leader and adviser among the youth of our community. I have done this from when I was thirteen until I was fourteen years old. I also helped organize events for my church. I have also been called as a home teacher when I turned fourteen. We visited families within our community who were members of the same church. My father and later an adult have been my partners in this home teaching program.
