Hi I'm Jessica

I am from a small town of beautiful people. I love to travel and give service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town, being blessed with a wonderful family that showed me that happiness comes through following our Lord. Throughout my life, I have always LOVED to learn and have tried many things. I was blessed to travel to Africa and experience the wonderful culture of Guatemala. One of my favorite moments in Africa was going to an Elementary School to volunteer-- I literally would've been content spending my whole trip in that classroom. One of my favorite aspects of life is Service-- I believe so strongly that through service, we can truly love others as God does and bring more love and happiness to all people involved. Jesus Christ emulates this trait in everything He does.I attended college this past year, and am on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I am so grateful for this opportunity and have learned so much already. One of my favorite things is people-- I love hearing their stories and learning and growing from them, and showing them our God's love for them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love it and have tried its principles and have found them true. This the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and His church-- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints-- make me the happiest when i live its principles. The doctrine makes sense, and I have found its guidelines and teachings to benefit me most out of everything else in my life. Think about it, God (who knows all) has given us direction through His Church, His scripture, and through His Prophets in these days! I cling to that Heavenly direction, as I do not know how I could live my life with out it. It gives me hope, its gives me peace, it gives me assurance and blessings. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love my community, family, and friends and try to help out however I can-- in the past I have been able to work with young children and learn from them, volunteer at the University I attended last year, and just listen to people and love them. I memorized a poem years ago by Emily Dickinson that I feel is so important: "They might not need me, But they might; I'll let my head be just in sight, A smile as small as mine might be Precisely their necessity." I have been so incredibly blessed in my life, and I want others to experience the happiness I have, and my happiness comes from living the doctrine of Jesus Christ, or the Gospel. I live my faith by loving those around me and by this, hopefully letting them know that they have a Heavenly Father that loves them more than I ever can.
