Hi I'm Ashley Whitlock

I'm a girl from "Happy Valley" Utah. I love to read, travel, read, play piano, read, draw, and read. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second eldest of five children in my family. I'm a college student who still loves to watch disney movies. Also I served in The Texas Huston East Mission. Some of my favorite hobbies are cuddling up in a warm blanket and reading a good fantasy book for hours. I also enjoy playing the piano, practicing archery, and most recently I discovered wake boarding. I enjoy life and love to learn something new everyday.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to be a member because of my family now and my future family. I love all of my siblings and both of my parents individually and deeply. I would be so heart broken if I could never see my family again. But I know that is not an option because I will be with them for time and all eternity. I also desire to have a family that I can love as a mother and I know that I will have joy beyond measure when that time comes. I also love to feel my Heavenly Fathers love because it strengthens me and helps me through the good and bad times. I know that he loves me and will never forget me.

How I live my faith

I live by my faith daily by looking for the positive things in life even if others can not see it yet. I often say thank you to others, even if they don't remember it later. I love learning about the new and the old of this world. I continually learn about God and how I can become more like Him in loving others as He does. I try my best each day, and I want to become better too. I live my faith especially by loving my family. I know that I will be with them for eternity.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Ashley Whitlock
The Atonement consists of when Jesus Christ suffered ALL the sins of the world in the garden, then died on the cross, and rose the third day to conquer death. Christ gave the infinite and eternal sacrifice that EVERYONE receives, so that we all can truly repent of our sins, meaning turning away from our wrong doings, and become the best child of God. I also am grateful that the Atonement is continuous, so that I can have second chances, third, fourth, fifth, even seventy times seven chances to become the best I can. For this Atonement to be possible though, it was only able to be done by the Beloved Son, who was chosen before his earthly life. Only he had the power, no one else, the Begotten Son of the Father. I am grateful to the Savior for his trust in me to follow him in the preexistence and now her on earth, and I love what he has done for all people. Show more Show less
