Hi I'm Jordan Erekson

I'm a son to a couple, brother to a few, friend to many, soccer playing, outdoor loving, Child of God.

About Me

Here is just a little about me.... Well, right now I am currently serving in the Manchester, New England Mission. So far, It has been THE greatest thing I have done in my life up to this point in time. While out here on my Mission I have truly come to a knowledge of my Father in Heaven, and His Son Jesus Christ. Being able to come on a mission has improved my life beyond expectations. I thought I was going to come out here to change ones life. When really, it's me that has changed the most. While I've been out here, the people I've met, the bonds I've strengthened, and the love I have felt, have and will change me forever. My family consists of My Mother and Father, two younger brothers, and an older sister who just recently was married in the Salt Lake Temple. If it was not for them, I would not be where I am today. The family is the greatest place to learn, grow, and love. One day I can only wish to have the love and unity that I see between my parents. My older sister has been a great example for me while growing up. She taught me that the most important thing in a family is respect. If you have respect for each and every family member, All other attributes a family should have will fall into place. My two younger brothers have been right by my side through the good and the bad. They both have taught me that even though life gets hard and the world will try to pull you down, don't give up. Never give up.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I am glad you asked. You see, although my family grew up in the church, I still had the choice to be one or not. There are many reasons why I chose to be a Mormon but I will simply go over a few of them: Being a Mormon makes it possible to be with my family for eternity. What greater blessing is there in life than that of living as a family with our Father in Heaven for eternity. The joy, strength and knowledge that comes from this gospel has helped me in my life beyond measures. Every day I wake up knowing that no matter what happens in the world today, My Heavenly Father is there for me. He sent his Son to Earth to accomplish the Atonement for us, making it possible so that all the worries we have, all the pains, guilt, sorrow, and woes of the world can be taken from us. I am a Mormon because I have come to the knowledge of the truthfulness of this gospel for myself. I know and promise that you can too.

How I live my faith

Before we came here to Earth we lived with our Heavenly Father. While there, He presented his plan, the plan of Happiness. We all valiantly chose to come here to the Earth, knowing that it was an imperfect and fallen world. We knew the consequences that would come from being subject to imperfections, but we also knew the joy, comfort, and most important the blessings that would come from our experience here. Now, we do not remember these things, for while were are here, we are to walk by faith rather than by sight. That may have been the greatest blessing of all. We get to once again show our loyalty to our Heavenly Father by putting all our trust, faith, and love in him. He knows us best. He knows what we need, when we need it, and He knows the best way for us to receive it. Our Heavenly Father loves us. He wants to communicate with us. We can communicate with Him through sincere prayer. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He has, He does, and He always will answer our prayers. Simply, I show and live my faith by putting all my trust in my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I know that they live, I know that they know us, and I know without a doubt that they love us. Oh the joy that comes from this knowledge.
