Hi I'm Dale

I grew up in Canada. I study history, teach journalism and follow hockey.

About Me

A swimming scholarship brought me to Brigham Young University where I was introduced to the LDS Church. I majored in journalism, then worked as a newspaper reporter and television news producer. I met my wife at BYU—a beautiful Californian who is the World's Greatest mother. Together we have three wonderful sons. I'm now a university professor.

Why I am a Mormon

I was (and continue to be) attracted to the church because of its emphasis on family, service, and clean living. Mormons look after their neighbors and loved ones and try to make the world a better place. I love being part of that.

How I live my faith

I serve in my local congregation doing whatever is needed, whether teaching Sunday School or helping to look after the small ones in nursery. When our boys were young I spent many years serving in various capacities in the Boy Scouts of America.
