Hi I'm Malivanh!

A native to Utah. An adopted Canadian at heart. I love Disney, creativity and spending time with my family & friends.

About Me

I love being around people and making people happy! I currently attend school at Utah State University studying Communications and Marketing. I love being with friends and having new adventures and laughs everyday. I love In N Out Burger and probably could eat it everyday and never get sick. I served an 18 month mission to Edmonton, Canada and still consider myself a Canadian at heart. I love to swing dance, draw, design, read and learn new games to play. Most of all I love spending time serving others and making long lasting friendships with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I choose to be. I was born in the church and raised with the gospel. Because of this I have always had a strong faith in it, but I was never truly converted until I was older. I gain a true testimony when I moved away from home and started living on my own. It was then that I came to know for myself that God lives and his son, Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. He loves each and everyone one of us and that is why he performed the Atonement, not just for me but for all who will listen and turn their hearts to him. God answers our prayers and he knows us individually and proves that through the tender mercies in our daily lives. I know that God speaks to and reveals more knowledge to men on the Earth today. I know these men are called to be prophets to give us guidance and direction.I know that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and along with the Bible is given for us in this day to prepare and learn how to return back to the presence of our loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. There is no way that is too far that we cannot turn around back into the arms of our Father in Heaven and He will welcome us back. I know that God lives. I know that this is the true church. Because of Joseph Smith, a man called of God to restore it, we have it upon the Earth today. I also know the priesthood is upon the Earth today and because of that we can witness miracles because of our faith in God.I know this. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by my actions. I have served in many different callings within the church and each one I have grown to love and help others. I have learned the importance of charity, being humble and putting your trust in God and allowing him to direct your paths in life. (Proverbs 3: 5-6) Within my ward, I have planned activities such as family history, temple attendance and youth activities about faith. What is truly important to me is to see others as Christ would see them and live as one of his disciples in these latter days.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Malivanh!
Yes! Absolutely! I know that God has said time and time again in the Bible, that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. So why would He change the way He communicates to all His children upon the Earth? I know that He hasn't and that we have a prophet this day on the Earth that leads our church under the direction of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. Prophets are men called by God to guide us in these last days and help us to apply the scriptures, learn more from them and most importantly testify that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. I know that we are all God's children and that He reveals His will to His children through the prophets and we can be happy for eternity as we heed their teachings as modern day scripture. Are Mormons Christians?

Malivanh!
YES! I can't think that we are anything but Christians. Growing up in the church, we of course read out of the Book of Mormon and Bible and the common thing that links them to one another is the belief that Jesus Christ is our Savior, Redeemer and is the Son of God. I have learned through my life that it is upon my Savior alone that I can rely on for strength and utmost comfort when I need someone. His teachings are something that I strive to live everyday. That is why we are called the saints of the latter-days. This is His church restored upon the Earth and He is the head of that and directs it still today. Show more Show less
