Hi I'm Shelby Peters

I super love chinchillas and the color purple. I'm serving a mission in Colorado Springs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Pretty much here's all you need to know: my favorite animals are chinchillas and owls (with sea urchins in a close 3rd) Being on a mission is the best. Lots of opportunities to quote Nacho Libre. The absolute best day of the year is July THIRTEENTH. Life is good now for the boring extra stuff: I'm from Jerome, Idaho. I grew up there for most of my life, but I was born in Laramie, Wyoming. I'm a big sister (three lil broskies). I am attending Idaho State University --go bengals!!-- with a major in Editing and a minor in theatre Exctiting stuff. My dream is to live my whole life traveling the world and doing humanitarian work. That's where my heart is. I love love love humanitarian work :)

Why I am a Mormon

I have never been happier when I live my life the best I can to be more Christlike. I wish everyone knew about this happy message the gospel gives. That's why I'm on a mission! I grew up with loving parents who taught me the principles of wrong and right. We tried our best to keep Christ's love in our home. I was raised in the church, but ultimately I am a Mormon, because I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true and I have felt his love in my life. I have prayed to know answers to my questions, and I know that he listens and he sends answers.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for my church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I love having this wonderful opportunity to grow closer to my Heavenly Father and also bring others to Christ. When I get home, I'll go to school and yadda yadda, but I really want to spend a lot of my life helping kiddos in less privileged environments and finding lots of humanitarian work. That's what makes me happiest! :D
