Hi I'm JoAnn

I love flowers and sunshine - I love FAMILY -

About Me

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me happy! I can’t help but smile. It just comes out. That’s the real me. That’s who I am inside. When I was very young, someone suggested that I should not smile quite so much. When I tried it, I was totally miserable – It felt all wrong! When my mother realized what was happening, she told me I could smile all I wanted to! Now I don’t think about it, it just happens. I enjoy people. They energize me. Each one has something to help enrich my life. I have had training as a floral designer and love the color and textures that I can experience when working with flowers. I am continually amazed at the beautiful world we have been blessed to live in! Being a wife, mother and grandmother are some of the most important roles in my life. Some people think that is pretty boring, but I look at it as being limitless in potential. Where else can you have so many opportunities to "create memories" like running around in the rain or splashing in puddles. As a grandmother I even took up learning to play the guitar. This job can be FUN!!! I love my family! Life is short and there is so much to learn. I sometimes feel like I need at least five lives to explore all the things I want to know about! I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! Every day it fills my soul with joy! I just want everyone to experience those wonderful feelings. The more I learn, the better and better it becomes!

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I developed a trusting and caring relationship with the Savior. I have felt very close to Him and to my Heavenly Father my whole life. As I learn more and more about the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, they really make sense to me. They seem to fit very well with what I read in the Bible about Christ’s church. It has always felt so comfortable and good to me! I love knowing that we have a living prophet and apostles on the earth today who know what we need to do to experience true joy and peace in our lives- right now! We need not wait for some far distant future or for our circumstances to change. Life can be challenging and difficult at times. It can even seem impossible. I can think of no better guide to lead me through the maze of life and into the light of a brighter tomorrow, than the Savior and His representatives! He has always worked through Prophets and apostles and He still does! I know that great help will come to us as we trust in the Lord and in His ability to lead us along. That knowledge allows us to more fully set aside the thoughts and concerns that crowd our minds and press upon our souls. We can know He cares about us, individually, and that He will help us! To me, the Book of Mormon is a key to gaining a trust in a living Prophet and in the Savior and in our Heavenly Father and in their ability to guide us. It is second witness to the Bible - a record of another people and their experiences. I love the Bible too! They both work together. I know that it is important to the Lord to have more than one witness to the truthfulness of His teachings. (2 Cor. 13:1) He won't leave us on our own! As we ask Him for His help and direction, and follow His guidance, we will be led to a better tomorrow. It will make all the difference! FIND THE HAPPINESS- FIND THE JOY!!! He will help us! Best of luck in your own journey in life. Remember- You are LOVED beyond measure!

How I live my faith

I appreciate the great heritage of family members that came before me. I am grateful for the sacrifices they made in their lives so ours could be more fulfilling! I loved the idea of doing "random acts of kindness". That can be so fulfilling and so enlivening to the soul! We can share the happiness the Savior brings into our hearts.
