Hi I'm Shawna Tenney

I'm a children's book illustrator, a wife and a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a children's book illustrator, a wife, a mom of two, I enjoy good books, good outings, good friends, playing the violin and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found true happiness by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and I have found that true and restored gospel in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been part of the church my whole life and was baptized when I was 8, but I had to find out for myself that this gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I found out for myself through reading the scriptures and praying. The Holy Ghost has told me this gospel is true many times by a warm burning in my heart. The only way me and my family have been truly happy is when we are living the principles taught in this gospel. I love this gospel, and with all my heart I want to share it with my friends. Heavenly Father is always there when I pray, and he has helped me through many hard times in my life. I am grateful that I know I am a child of God. We all make mistakes and I know that Jesus died for our sins. I know through his Atonement, we can be forgiven and strengthened to do things we could never do by ourselves. I know that God's Priesthood has been restored on the earth today. I know President Monson is the true and living prophet who receives revelation. I know The Book of Mormon is the word of God, restored to the earth for us today. If you read it and pray about it, I know the Holy Ghost will tell you of it's truth. I know this because I have read the book of Mormon many times, and every time I do, the Holy Ghost manifests to me that it is true. I say this with all of my heart, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

It's important to me to read the scriptures daily and try and live what I believe. Jesus taught us to always serve others, and I always try to serve in whatever ways I can both in church callings and to others around me.
