Hi I'm Sterling

I love my Life. I love my Family. I love Christ. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am from Texas but am serving as a missionary in Japan right now. I have the privilege of serving here for two years and spend all of my time to teaching people about their Father in Heaven and their Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. ITS AWESOME!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon, and I have been Mormon for my entire life. My parents and even my grandparents are the same. I am sure that many people would look at me and think that the only reason I am Mormon is because I have always been one; however, that is not the case. While the fact that I was born in the church and my entire family is Mormon certainly plays a part in my membership of the church, it does not affect my conversion. I too had to find out the truth of this church for myself. I too had to go through the process of coming to believe in this church through the experiences obtained through the exercise of faith in Jesus Christ. In my case, I came to know of the truth of this church through the conversion of one of my best friends. As he learned of the principles of the gospel, we would discuss them together, sometimes for hours. As we discussed the principles and put them into practice in our lives, the Holy Ghost testified to both of us of their validity. As we learned and relearned together, we shared many spiritual experiences together. As we moved along, my friend began to want to be baptized. When it came time for the baptism he asked me to perform it. His baptism turned out to be the biggest and most important moment along the whole journey. The feeling I felt as I lifted him out of the water solidified my testimony of the truth of this church. As one exercises the faith needed to take the first step on the path leading back to our heavenly father, the Spirit manifests itself in an unmistakable way. I know that the full and living gospel of Jesus Christ and the authority necessary to administer his church through revelation has been restored to the earth once again, and those are found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I am serving right now as a missionary or in other words, as a representative of Jesus Christ, inviting people to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching them what he taught and and helping them to apply those teachings to their life. I get to see people experience the joy and happiness through coming to understand the purpose of life, their relationship with God, and their relationship with Jesus Christ. I have faith that we can achieve the greatest joy through following Christ's teachings and example and so I do my best to live as he lived and help others do the same.
