Hi I'm Becca Perez

I was born and raised in New Jersey. My passion is to raise awareness on Borderline Personality Disorder. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Becca! I come from a family with rich cultural backgrounds. My Father was born and raised in Guatemala and my mother is from Puerto Rico. I am one of 9 children! All of us are girls! :) I have been playing the flute for about 8 years and I love it! I am currently studying music in my high school. I have a passion for mathematics and hope to one day be a quantitative mathematician for the stock market! I am terrible at playing sports, but that doesn't stop me from trying! I consider myself a little quirky! And I love playing board games!

Why I am a Mormon

I cannot begin to describe the joy within me because of this gospel. This is indeed The Church of Jesus Christ. It is His divine church. The Lord is well aware of all of his children. He loves each and every one of us. I have chosen to be a member of this church because of the blessings we can receive. One night I had a dream. I had a dream that a great tsunami was shortly coming. It would have destroyed us all! In my dream I convinced my family to move our house to a better foundation. Sure enough, we were able to ride out the great storm to safety. A couple weeks after that dream I came across a scripture--one that spoke so powerfully to me. It can be found in The Book of Mormon. In Helaman 5:12. It reads, "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." I know that this church is true. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I have a testimony that the true gospel was restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith. I am confident in knowing that we are all children of God. He knows us--individually, and loves us more than we can comprehend. I love this gospel and could NOT imagine my life without it.

How I live my faith

I have the amazing opportunity to be serving on the Youth Committee for the church! It is a great blessing for me! I, along with other youth in the area, come together to plan events for the youth of the church! We plan huge events in the summer that everyone enjoys! Just recently we had Mormon Prom! It was so great to see youth from all over the east coast come together and have FUN! I have been recently going out with the missionaries to teach families. Holy Cow! I have learned so much! I am so excited to serve a mission!
