Hi I'm Ozzy

I grew up in Salt Lake City. I'm a musician, an aviator. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving a mission in the California San Jose Mission and am loving it. I grew up in Salt Lake City, graduated from West High in 2009, attended Westminster College for a while and now I'm here. I was majoring in Aviation and will more than likely continue to do so when I return. I play the guitar and sing and am more than willing to pick up just about any instrument and give a wack at it, so to speak. I was involved in many band projects before my mission. I love doing outdoors sort of activities, I play lacrosse, soccer, I snowboard, go camping and hiking. I love to watch movies, listen to music and read books.

Why I am a Mormon

Not wanting to be dramatic or cliche, but the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ saved my life in many many ways. The person I am today was greatly affected and influenced by many people who were influenced and inspired by the Gospel and when I found myself at a dead end the gospel was all I had and truly all I needed. My thought process has changed since those early days and my outlook on life is extremely positive. The Book of Mormon has been a major influence in my life and boy am I ever grateful for it. Truly, every answer a person could be looking for in life, no matter the question, can be found within those pages. The reassurance that we are in this world by design and that we are not abandoned is, perhaps, the most comforting thought in a dark and difficult life. The Lord has come for ALL of us and He died for ALL of us. He extends his offer to ALL of us and ALL of us can receive it, if we so wish to. This church is the way by which we may receive such a reward, blessings in this life, and everlasting joy in the next one.

How I live my faith

I love being a missionary. Working with the various wards and members, getting to know brand new people and helping them on their path to self betterment has been one of the greatest things that I could have done. Not only am I making a difference in the lives of others, but I have helped myself discover the real me, and now see who I really want to be. Helping out in Elders quorum precidency, being a Deacons Advisor and all the various Aaronic Priesthood callings have all lead me up to this point in life and they have truly been of worth to me.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I first off, learn all you can. I recommend you ask from the source, ask a missionary. To truly know if it's all true, much study is require, but most importantly much prayer is need. Ask your Heavenly Father if what you're learning is true. He will confirm it for you. You'll know through the peace of mind and heart that will be felt, that's the Holy Ghost confirming truth to you. To all you can, keep the commandments, so that being, mainly the Holy Ghost can continue to influence you. Show more Show less
